It is with great sorrow that the Oakland Recreation Commission announces the passing of Recreation Matriarch Edna D’Elia. Mrs. D’Elia was the wife of the late Danny D’Elia whose is the namesake for the Recreation Building. Mrs. D’Elia was a life long resident and participant in many of Oakland’s activities. Funeral arrangements will be posted when announced. Please keep her family in your prayers during this difficult time.

Field Status: Recreation Infrastructure Update:
The Recreation Complex (except the roller hockey rink, Danny D Building and playgrounds) remains closed. No one is permitted on the complex until all lighting work is complete. After final inspection an announcement will be made clearing the complex for use.
If anyone wishes to use a field to practice, throw a ball around etc, Truman Field will remain open – weather permitting.
